Requirements and Procedures for Obtaining an Egyptian Visa

1. Personal Application (In-Person)

Applicants must personally visit the Egyptian Embassy in their country of residence and provide the following:

• Valid Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months.

• Passport Copy: A clear photocopy of the first page.

• Visa Application Form: Fully completed with two recent photos (4×6, white background).

• Bank Statement: Showing transactions for the last two months prior to application.

• Employment/Education Proof: * Tourists: An employment certificate (Exempt for those over 50 years old).

  • Students: A valid University Enrollment Certificate.

• Travel Details: Flight tickets and accommodation bookings are to be submitted only after the visa approval is issued.

2. Application via Egyptian Travel Agencies (Guaranteed Programs)

The required documents are identical to the personal application. However, the Egyptian Embassy requires that the agency must be a Certified and Accredited Travel Office in Egypt.

How to Obtain Security Clearance for Entering Egypt?

To apply for security clearance, the following information must be provided in the application form:

1. Email Address.

2. Surname (Family Name).

3. Given Name (First Name).

4. Phone Number.

5. Profession.

6. Travel Date.

7. Departure Location.

8. Passport Issue Date.

9. Passport Number.

10. Passport Expiry Date.

11. Purpose of Visit.

12. A clear copy of the Passport.

Important Notes on Security Clearance for Yemenis:

• Validity: The clearance is valid for 45 days from the date of issuance.

• Duration of Stay: 90 days from the date of entry, provided that a Tourist Residence Permit is obtained within one week of arrival from the Passport and Immigration Authority in Abbassia.

• Agency Requirements: Only a passport copy valid for 6 months is needed.

• Processing Time: Approximately two working weeks.

• Authorized Airports: Cairo International Airport and Borg El Arab Airport.

• Fees: Fees are collected in USD per person upon submission of the passport.

• Flight Tickets: Must be sent one week before the arrival date after approval is issued.

• Refund Policy: In case of rejection, fees are refundable, minus 2,000 EGP for administrative costs.

Where to Apply:

• E-Visa: Eligible nationalities can apply online through the official Visa Portal.

• Embassy Application: Applicants not eligible for E-Visa or Visa on Arrival must apply at the nearest Egyptian Embassy or Consulate abroad.
